• * Office employees are invited to attend a meeting in the Trades Hail at 8 p.m. tomorrow, when a full report o£ the i e-.v award will be preeented. Tho annual mooting of the Navy- League has been postr >ned until Friday, at 8 p.m. Objections lodged in respect cf the special roll for th? Eedcliffs public iiall loan special rati'ng- area will be hoard by Mr S. E. McCarthy, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court, Christehiorch, at 10.30 - a.m. on Friday, tho 38th inst. Objections in connexion with tho Kedcliffs gas loan special rating area will be heard at tho same hour. In the Trades Hall to-night Mr N. B. Bell wil-l deliver an illustrated lecture entitbd "Rrssia, Old and Kew." Admission will be free. A lecture will bo given to-morrow evening, in tho Chamber of Commerce, by Jlr iv'. Fraser, of the Sheldon Institute of Business Science. The subject wili be "Training- for Mastership in Business." A cordial invitation is extended to all, employers and employees alike.
