WEDDINGS.
SIMPSON—CHAPMAN. A quiet but- pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Paul's Church. la3b week, the Rev. J. Paterson officiating, . the contracting pariie3 being Norman, second -son of Mr and Mrs James Simpson, of Timaru, and May, fourth' daughter of Mr and Mrs James Chapman, of Avonside. The bride looked charming in her bridal dress of ivory crepo de chine, with veil and orange blossoms', and carried a shower bouquet of choice flowers. Her sister. Miss Gladys Chapman, who was bridesmaid, was prettily "dressed in eggI shell blue crepe "do chine, with a black velvet picture hat, and carriod a boul quet of chrysanthemums and autumn i foliage. Mr Selwyn Grant acted as best mah. After the ceremony a short reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents, and later in the afternoon the happy couple left for the North Island, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The bride's travelling dress was a buff tailor-made costume, with fox furs, and a peacock Hue velour hat, with touches of buff and purple. McTEIGUE—COULTER. A wedding of much interest took place recent v at St. Cnlnrriba's Church, Hornby, of Mr Frank McTeigue, son of Mr and Mrs McTeigue, HaJswell, and Miss Minnie Cnultcr, daughter of Mrs and" the late Mr T. Coulter, of Islington. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. L. Harding. The church was prettily decorated by friends of the bride, and Mr Pilgrim presided at tho ! organ.
