—9 MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of tho executive cf the Christchurch U.S.A. -wan held last night, the Rev. W. Walker presiding. Forty new members were elected. Tlie president' reported that bo had received an autographed letter from the Prince of Wales in acknowledgment of the address of welcome presented by the Association. It was decided to framo the Jotter and hang it in th© new club rooms. It was reported that three sections of tho' Waitohi Peaks Ssttlement hod been reserved for tubercular soldiers., A protest had boan ma-do by a number of limbless men who were interested in the ballot, and who desired to receive the samo preference'. After a lengthy uipcussion it was decided •that the matter should 1m referred to the next quarterly general meeting of tho Association. It was reported that final arrangements had been mad© for tho smoke concert to General Birdwood to-night. General Birdvood is to be presented with n tiki from the "diggers" of Christclrarch. The Rev. "W. Walker, Messrs V. N. Edgar, and H. J. Knight were appointed delegates to tho nest meeting of the Canterbury Provincial Executive of the N.Z.R.S.A. It was decided that the next <vnart-erly general meeting should bo held on the 28th inst., and that a report of the recent Dominion Conference should be presented by the delegates.
