APPLICATIONS FOR WAITOHI PEAKS. TWO ESTATES PURCHASED. For the ten sections into which the Yl aitoai Peaks pastoral country has been divided for settlement by dis- ; charged soldiers, closo upon 550 appliea- ' tions were received at the local office i of the Lands and Survey Department, applications having closed yesterday afternoon. B." 1 men will be eligible for the remaining three sections The examination of , applicants will bo taken before the ] Land Hoard to-morrow when the six . applicants for sections at Hornbv, and the three applicants for a section at ( Ay.esbury, will be also examined.
