A London message says that as the Penzance express dashed at top speed through Now bury the stationmn-ster was struck by a ball cf paper bearing a message asking him to an ambulance to be ready at Paddington station. It transpired that a child was born on the journey. Luckil- a physician was aboard, and the guard's presence of mind doubtless saved the lives of the mother and child, who are both prospering.
