SHIPPING NOTES. Tho Monowai, with passengers and cargo from Dunedin, arrived ft Lyttelton yesterday, and will be despatched this evening lor Auckland, . via East Coa3t port-s. The auxiliary schooqer Houto arrived at Lyttelton on Saturday morning, after a smart passage of 70 hours from Gisbornc. She is to load to-day for Dunedin, for which port she. is expected to lc-avo to-night. The Paloor-a could not get away on Saturday night as intended, and is now timed to leave this afternoon for Wellington, en routo for Melbourne. ' Tho "Westralia is duo at Wellington from Melbourne on Thursday or Friday, and should arrive here on Sunday. She is timed {o leave on Monday for Melbourne, via< Dunedin and Bluff.

The Calm and the Storm, both from Timaru, arrived at Lyttelton yesterday. The former will load for Wellineton, and is to sail to-morrow afternoon. The Storm i's to Gail this afternoon for Wanganui direct.

The Gallic, which has been loading frozen meat at Now Plymouth and Kaipara, is now due here oil Wednesday from Wellington, where she called in to bunker. She will taio in a large consignment of mutton hero.

Tho Zealandic is now due here to-morrow to commence loading. The lonic lias been delayed at Wellington, and. is .now due here on Thursday.
