Lord Haig's Officers' Association has agreed to take 12,500 shares in a project to establish ex-officers on Australian farms. It is also convening a meeting of the Business interests of the city with a view to securing further financial support. The Hon. Sir Arthur Stanley and other influential men havo joined the London Board. Financial circles in London consider that if Australians aro more generous in their support, this will ensure tne contribution of further British capital. The Oversea Settlement Committee suggests that the scheme should be extended to other than Australian States.
