A resolution was' curried at the Returned So'.diers' Conference at \\p!!i*rton as follows: —"That the Returned Soldiers' Association views grave apprehension the rumours that arc gaining ground that the tiles of ex-soldiers arc open to the police, and requests the Government to publicly reaffirm that these files are absolutely inviolate.•' Asked if he had reason to boxieve there was ground for the rumour, Mr J. I". Aldrich (Wellington) said that he personally was absolutely confident that there was not.
