The above vessels iiavo Jjeen presented by Great Uritnin to the Royal Australian Navy. Tlio Anzac is oiuj of tho destroyer flotilla leaders built during the war. She was constructed by Messrs Denny Urns.. Ltd., at Dumbarton, and is n vessel of 1340 tons displacement, 300 i!cc,t in length, 129J feet beam, and 5) feet draught. She is fitted for burning oil fuel, and is propelled l>y geared- [ turbine engines of L' 7,000 horse-power, giving her a speed of 34 Pilots. Her arinnmcnt comprises four 4-inch quickfirers and one 3-inch anti-aircraft, gun, and four torpedo tubes. Tho .Swordsman, Stalwart, Success, Tasmania, and Tattoo aro sister ships, constructed by various builders in 1918. They are cncli of 1090 tons displacement, 2Cy r > foot in length, 2(3.8 feet beam, and H feet draught; fitt«*d with geared turbines of 27,000 horso-powcr, driving twin-scre.vs, and giving them a sptvd of 315 knots. Tlioy aro cach armed with threo 4-inch guns and one 2-pound it gun, and six torpedo tubes.

These ships will form a most important addition to the Australian destroyer flotilla, which at present comprises only tlio Vurra, l'arramatta, Warrego, Swan, lluon, and Torrens, built between 1910 and 1915. These aro small ships of 700 tons displacement, their speed varying from 26 to 28 knots.

Several submarines of the "J" cJnss have also been presented to tho Royal Australian Navy. They arc vessels of IP2O tons displacement, armed with ono 4-inch gun and six torpedo tubes.
