Thero have been a number of bloody encounters in Sofia botween tho strikers and tho troops the latter using ma-chine-guns. Many casualties are reported. Tho King and tho Royal family havo been imprisoned in their palaco for a fortnight. Tho King is anxious to abdicate. [Previous messages said: —The Government has rosigncd. The Socialists are trying to form a Cabinet under M. Danelt. According to Berno advices from Sofia 40,000 people participated in an anti-dynastic demonstration, and attacked tho Royal Palace. The police ropressed tho disorder, ono hundred casualties resulting. Tho Government has called out the reserves to act against the strikers. Traffic is everywhere at a standstill, and there is -fighting in many towns.]
