DR. LITTLE MEMORIAL.
« An i nthusiasti.- meeting in connexion J with the Dr. Little memorial was held at liawaiden. Mr H. Saundereock prej siding. The collectors reported that £300 had already been promised, and only j part of the district had been can- | vassed. ! The chairman stated that, according ito information available, the statue would cost approximately £3n(). jtnd at least, another £l2(»0 would be required to erect it ;ind provide a suitable pedestal. The matter of procuring tenders for the supply of the pedestal and erection of the statue was loft in the hands of Messrs Saundereock and Lindsay. Those present expressed themsplves well pleased with the support given to the scheme, and looked forward with confidence to a successful issue. The statue, which is to h" prepared in Italy, is to he erected u\ front of thn hospital in Waikari.
