It is authoritatively stated that whom Vijcount Jellicoe returns to England he will recommend a lnrge British fleet for Indian and Pacific waters, consisting of eight battleships of the latest type, eight modern battle-cruisers, ton light cruisers. 40 destroyers, and 40 submarines. The expense of the construction and maintenance of this fleot will bo borne partly by the British Dominions, and the acceptance of the plan will be at their discretion. Viscount. Jellicoo and his party will pail in H.M.S. New Zealand, probably for Struth Africa. Viscount Jellicoo visited tho United States Naval Academy, and was entertained by Mr Daniels, Secretary of tho Nnw. WASHINGTON, January 6. Viscount Jellicoe, speaking at Annapolis during an inspection of the United States Naval College, said that it was ono of tho greatest naval schooli in tho world.
