To-morrow Chas. Kit will to eecn in "The Claws of tbe Hun. A Billy West comedy, "Her Tender Feci," and two Gazettes will complete the programme. Special orchestral mueio will be provided at the evening session.

FIRE BRIGADE.

The annual meeting of the Ly ttelton Volunteer Fire Brigade was held kat evening, Captain W. G. Carion presiding. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Captain, W. G. Carson; lieutenant, P. WalklH*; foreman. R. Fenton; secretary, R. Oarson; treasurer, TV. J. Crocker: central committee, Firemen J. Tibbie, P. Miller, and E. Crocker; librarian, Fireman W. J. Crocker; assistant librarian, B. Jones; caretaker, R. Carson. Mr G. Wearne was proposed as to active member of tbo Brigade, and Mr H. Shirley was else ted an honorary member. It was decided to erect an honours board in tbe recreation room, for the purpose of recording the names of winners of ail competitions held in connexion with the Brigude. Lieutenant Walklin presented tho silver cup to Fireman Carson, the winner of the one-man event. In presenting the silver cup to Fireman W. 3. Crocker, captain of the winning Wnt in the three-man event, Captain Cfereon congratulated the team oa its success, and on being the first winners, especially as the team contained a new member, Fireman Cbannings.
