Counsel stared for a moment at tho judge, indignant and amazed. Then ho replied with great dignity, "My Lord, tho Scriptures < i>i - tainly tell us that somebody wrote the>< words on Bomo wall somewhere; anil whoever the writer and wherever tho wall, tho principle is tho samo." In passing a bigamy rentenco upon ;i mn.n a t the Berkshire Assises, Mr .Jnotice Rowlatt said: —"Possibly wo tliall get a notion of what marriage is into tho heads of the British rtublie.
