VISIT OF PRINCE OF WALES.
NO DEFINITE DATE YET KNOWN. Tho Prime Minister, when asked if he -was in receipt of any particulars of tho forthcoming visit to tho Dominion of tho Prince of Wales, said that ho knew tho Princo was coming this year, but that so far as the Government was concerned it had not been officially informed of the date of his arrival. He iidded: "Wo are in communication with tho Imperial authorities through his! Excellency the Governor-General, but: liavo not yet received any information j which can be made public." | Althcugh tho Primo Minister can pay nothing of n definite nature about the date of the Prince's visit, there is somo reason to believe that this visit mnv, interfere with the proposed Parliamentary tour of our South Sea Island possessions (saj-s tho Auckland ".Star"',). | Tho visit to Samoa was mooted for about April and May, but if the Prince j is likely to be in New Zealand in either' of thov months tho Primo Minister, 1 at tho leist-, would have to be in the Dominion to receive him. It is probable. therefore, that somo modification of the plans for the visit to Samoa before l)io pext session will have to ho j arranged.
