■ ▼ i The monthly meeting of the committee of the Sumner Presbyterian Church was held on Monday, tho Rev. W. McAra presiding over a good attendance. A report on the Bible Class concerts in aid of the section purchcso fund stated that tbey i had resulted in a net return of £6 10s, and it was agreed that a letter of thanks be sent to tho members of tbo* Bible Class. The treasurer wns instructed to pay £25 off the balance owing on tho section. The treasurer reported a credit balance in all accounts, and that the finances were in a satisfactory state. It was agreed to hold tho anniversary services during tho month of February. The meeting unanimously agTecd to grant the uso of tho church for meetings in connexion with the Girls' Bible Glass camp, to be held in Sumner at Easter, and to do everything possible to promote the success of the gathering. It j was agreed that the Sunday School picnic be held in February. Mr McAra intimated that he would be conducting a young communicants' class prior to the Communion in February, and that as soon as the holidays wero over he proposed commencing a week- ] night eervice. Letters of thanks were authorised to bo sent to all friends who had mad* donations to the Church fund and Sunday I School library. I
