Tho machines weigh 30.C00 Kilograms, aro equipi>"d with six motors, and attain a s[>>ed of 120 per hour. They provide berths and sleeping and smoking rooms under the planes. FLIGHT TO AUSTRALIA. LONDON. December Captain V.T.kins and lieutenant Williams (of the Blackburn-Kangaroo machine, which is at present lying disabled at Crete) tlink that their expedition is and intend to take ship for Australia. Lieutenants Pott~ and Rendlo, two other members of the crow, are, however anxious to continue, and negotiations are proceeding for a new engine. Brigadier-General Jess ("ommanding the A.I.F. in the I'nited Kingdom) ha.s telegrapherl to Lieutenant ParoT (who was about to start for Australia in a do Unvilnnd machine) forbidding his departure. General Jess states that he is not- satisfied that L'eutenant Parer has a chance of success. Ho thinks that tho expedition is foolhardy, and does not wish to take the responsibility of permitting the officers to depart.

Mrs Howell, who appears to have suffered much I>y her bereavement, vras married to Captain Howell in England, and wns coming to Australia to mnkn her hrme hero. Tt had been her husband's intention to overtake tho Orsova and circle the vessel, and while so doing to drop a bouquet to greet his wife.
