this evening thnj. the appointment of Sir Thomas Maeiicnzio as High Commissioner had been extended Tor four months from February 22nd. .Sir Thomas Mackenzie indicated some time ago that he wished to be at liberty to vacate his office on four months' notice, and since then his appointment has been extended periodically for periods of four months.
