,A special general meeting of lie Anrnri A. •and P. Association was held on Saturday night, when tlio president, Mr A. J. Succkell, presided over a good attendance.
Several firms and individuals wrote, pro' miaing donations of 6pecial prises.
Canvassers v.ere appointed to canvass the various parts of the district for additional special prizes, entries, and now members.
Marshals were .appointed as follows:— Light horses, Mr B. C. Watsßn; poniea and competitions. Mr R. Crampton: cattle and fat sheep, Mr it. McKie; store Bheep, Mr H. Sharpe; dogs, Mr A. Baker; 6oeds and roots, Mr K. Pottigrew; abed, Mr H. T. Beavcn.
It was resolved that the •marshals (should appoint tlieir own. stewards. The secretary •was instructed to write to the Presbyterian Church Committee, aeking if it would be prepared to take charge of th« luncheon booth as in former years. It was resolved that an invitation should be eent to the Acting-Prime Minister, asking that Cabinet bo represented at the Show.
The president and secretary weto instructed to attend to the procuring of accommodation for the judges. The following now members wero elected.: — Messrs E. E. Ayrton, A. Baker, end v E. Mercer.
At- the clearing sale of Mr M. Crampton, at Hotherham on Mondav, a large number of new members wero enrolled, ajjd tlio interest shown augurs well for the success of tho forthcoming Show.
