POSITION ACUTE IN WELLINGTON. (SPECIAL TO "THE PIUSSS.") WELLINGTON, January 31. There is again an acute shortage of coal in Wellington, and, unfortunately, there seems but little prospect of improvement. The outbreak of influenza m Australia will again interrupt shipping communication. Noarly all the dealers are holding hundreds of pounds' worth of orders, as it is always three weeks, or thereabout before an order is filled. One dealer confessed to-day that he had orders from householders for 300 tons of coal in. small lots, and Hie had sixteen tons of coal wherewith to supply those orders.
