Frederick James Holland, who was charged with helpless drunkenness, was remanded for a week for medical treatment. FALSE ALARM OF FIRE. Edward Drummond Matheson and Cyril John Doherty wero charged with wilfully giving a false alarm to the Fire Brigade. The chargo against Doherty was withdrawn, on tho ground that he merely happened to bo in the other boy'a company when the offenoe was committed. It was pleaded on behalf of Matheson that the false alarm was given on "peace night." He was fined 40s and costs. A NUISANCE. William Robertson, a baker (Mr K. S.
