MAGISTRATE'S COfftT. At the Lyttelton Magistrate's Court yesterday morning before Captain R. Hatchwell and Mr F. G. Norton, J.P.'s, William Lawson. Sharp was charged with committing a grossly indecent act on the' ferry wharf on Monday evening. Accused was con vie ted and sentenced to ono month's imprisonment. THE PICTURES. Charterjs Bay has been a, little more lively than usual during the past few weeks, owing to a number of Linwood friends making their annual visit to that bay. Christmas time saw a row of tents being pitched on the side of the hill facing the sea, ancS this little spot presented a very busy" scene. Tho chief pastime was baOvin? and fishing. Afternoon tea wet served on the lawn, when Mr J. Tennent took the opportunity of thanking Mr Bradley for the enjoyable afternoon, and also thanked all the residents for their kindness to the campers.
