• MR W. HIBBERDINE. (By C«bl«.—Preea Aawciatioa.—Co»yrigfrt.) (Australian and X.Z. Cabls Association.) LONDON, January 26. The death is announced of Mr William Hibberdine, traffic manager of the Eastern Telegraph. Company who was recently created an Officer of the Order of the British Empire. The death is announced at New Plymouth of Mr William Henry Free, aged 93 years. He enlisted with the 58th Reg'iment in 1842, and came to Hobart in the following year as a guard over convicts. He served in Hone Heke's war and attained tho rank of lieutenant of volunteers in the Taranaki. war. -
