PERSONAL ITEMS.
♦ Mr F. Storey, of Christchurch, is visiting Hanmer Springs. Among the assistant-secretaries to the British Empire Delegation at Paris is Mr P. D. Thomson, of New Zealand. Mr J. Ash, of the sub-editorial staff of the Dunedin "Star," who has been spending somo days in Christchurch, leaves this morning for the West Coast and .Nelson on a lengthy holiday. Mr J. McDonald, one of the leading officers of the Dominion Museum, has been appointed assistant censor of cinematograph films, the work having proved too arduous for Mr Jolliffe. The Hon. G. W. Russell, of Internal Affairs, left last night for Wellington. Mr Russell returns to Christchurch at the end of the present woek, or early next week, to attend the formal opening of the Science Congress. Mr J. S. Lambert, officer-in-charge of War Pensions, arrived in Christchurch from ellington on Sunday. He will superintend the work in connexion with bis department on arrival of the troopship Briton this morning.
