I MEETING G.F COMMITTEE. | A meeting of the Motor Carnival CommitS tea \vm held last evening in the Pioneer Club I Hooms, there being- present—Messrs P. Menzies (in the chair), C. McCully, i\ Sprosen, C. Bonnington, W. Minaon, A. J. Harper. "W. G. Tonka, li. XI. Parker, E. F. C. Hinds, F. JHowarth, R. L. Keimtit, E. Ashwoxth, and A. B. L. Smith. The secretary brought up the matter of allowing riders to compete in the Tourist Handicap, of five miles, with "T.T." handlebars. Mr F. Howarth remarked that it wa-a dangerous for a rider to compete on tho Phimpton track with upright handle-bar*. Mr E. F. C. Hinds thfiighi it better to leave the matter over, or to handicap the competitor'in accordance with tile handle-bars used. ]t vraa decided to leavo -the matter until after the entries are received. Messrs Smith and Howarth vrero appointed to examine tho competitors' machines prior to tho carnival. A committee, comprising M«csr3 W. L. Minaon, C. Bonnington, F. Jone3, and F. Sowarth were nppoin ted to draw tip a timeta!?lo and conditions for the carnival. Mr P. B. Harraan etakrl at the meetinsr of tho 3lotor Carnival Committee last evening thot the popular racing' motor-cyclist, Percy Coleman, of palmerston- North, 'would compote for tho laat time New Zealand at the Motor Carnival. ' Tina rider, who will be remembered for his daring ridinsf in tho last three carnivals' at Canterbury: ParV, ha 3 Keen engaged by a Springfield rnanufacturitijr company to iido in their interests in the U.S.A.
