The Coroner, at the inquest on Major Seton; read a letter, written last Ootobcr by Mrs Rutherford, begging her husband to divorce her. He returned a verdict of wilful murder. Mrs Rutherford, who is a handsome woman, was present at the inquest. Her maid gave evidence that the marriage was unhappy. On the day of the tragedy Lieut.-Colonel Rutherford locked his wife in her room. It was stated that Major Seton frequently visited Mrs Rutherford during her husband's absence.
