IRELAND.
» - republican parliament. (By Cable—Prawa AMOoiatioa.—CopyrielU.) (A-OBtralia.il ud N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, January 21. The Irish Republican Parliament opened its sitting in -the Dublin Mansion House this afternoon. Dublin Castle has apparently decided to ignore it, as long as it is confined to talking. The proceedings will be bi-lingual, and the official reports will be issued in Irish. It is hoped that the newspapers will publish them in this form, despite the fact that even the Sinn Fein leaders use English. The first business is the appointment of Mr de Valera, Mr Arthur Griffin, and Count Plunket as delegates to the Peaoe Conference, then the declaration of Irish independence, and the election of the first President of the Irish Republic. MURDER AND ROBBERY. ! ("The Times.") I (Received January 25th, 1.20 a.m.) LONDON, January 22. The Dnblin correspondent of "The Times" states that twelve masked men shot dead two policemen near Tipperary, who were guarding a conveyance carrying explosives to a quarry. The men seized the explosives and escaped.
