♦ . — TOTAL PAYMENTS TO DATE. The Hon. D. H. Guthrie, ActingMinister in Charge of Imperial Supplies, was able yesterday to give a representative of "Tho Prftss'' the latest figures relating to the operations of the Department. The Minister said that the payments made to the Imperial Supplies Department by the Imperial authorities in respect of produce purchased for those authorities from the inauguration of the system till January 18th reached the large total of £81,068,20G, made up as follows:— • £ Frozen meat ... 30,930,412 Wool 28,138,852 Cheese ... ... 11,049,532 Butter 4,386,662 Slipe wool ... 3,294,638 Sheepskins ... 1,415,038 Hides 717,750 Scheelite ... ... 129,273 Other business ... 1,496,050
