The Wakatu should reaicli Lyttelton tomorrow evening with a cargo of general merchandise from Wellington and Kaikoura. She will probably be in readiness for a return rovago North on Saturday evening. The local agents for the Commonwealth and Dominion Line have reoeived advice that '. the steamer Verdun is due, at Port Chalmers at the end of next week with about 6000 tons of coal from Newcastle. The whole of ■ her cargo ia consigned to the Railway Department. On completion of discharge the ■' Verdun will load 20,000 bales of wool at Port Chalmers for London.
