I "GO SLOW" IX FORCE. BRISBANE, January 22. Application has been made by the meat companies to the Arbitration Court for the deletion of the preferonce to unionists clause from the award. Evidence was given bv several managers that the mon at all the works had adopted a "go slow" policy, one stating that the industry was now a seething sea of troublo. ADVANCES TO FARMERS. SYDNEY, January 22. The Government has 6et aside £100,000 for advances to farmers vho have suffered losses by the drought. MEAT COMMANDEERED. BRISBANE, January 22. The Government has commandeered 18,000 tons of frozen meat, due for shipment to the Imperial Government for the use of troops, to replenish the stocks in the State butchers' shops. LABOUR LEADER FINED. (Received January 22nd, 11.40 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 22. Judd. a Labour leader, on a second charge of making statements prejudicial to recruiting, was fined a further £50.
