ARRANGEMENTS FOR OOURT-
MARTIAL,

WANGANUI, January 21. The court-martial to try Lieutenant Crampton, in connexion with mattera pertaining to the Wanganui detention barracks, will sit at Wanganui on January 28th. It is understood that Lieut-enant-Colonel Colquhoun will preside. Associated with him will be Majors Hume, Mackersy, Hcnty, Ash with, Talbot, and Captain Smith. Captain P. E. Baldwin will ,be the judge-advocate. Eleven charges are preferred against Lieutenant Crampton, alleging illtreatment and permitting unnecessary force to be used on soldiere.
WELLINGTON, January 21. In connexion with the court-martial of Lieut. Orampton, eleven charges have been laid against him, alleging that he ill-treated the following prisoners at the Wanganui barracks:—Privates Harry Wilson, W. B. Donovan, Joseph McConville, Thomas Moynahan, Alister Beaton, Wilfred Badger, Fredrick Pallesen, and George Corian.
