Hie long-established coaching service between Waiouru and Toksuinu is being closed. The new route from the Main Trunk railway to Tokaanu is from Wailiiarino, and a motor service over this recently-constructed road has just been inaugurated. The distance, 44 miles, is the same as from Waiouru, but when a deviation at the back of _ Lake Roto Aira has been formed the journey ivill be roduced to 30 miles.
