• ♦ DUNEDINj Januaiy 18. » At the Railway Officers' Institute" Conference, Mr J. Young was re-elect-ed president; Messrs A. W. Hutchings, M. I>onneby, H. Thomas,. G. Matfchewson, E. Casey, vice-presidents; T.Snow, treasurer; M. Dennehy, F. Craig,-and J. Robertson, representatives on the State Service Association. The headquarters remain in Dunedin, and the local executive has been reappointed. A resolution was passed expressing the opinion that the time had arrived when full civil and political rights should be extended to all pereons in the employ of the State.
