J. Dolan, farmer, Kyle, met with, a serious accident on Tuesday or Wednesday on the road between Chortsoy and Kyle. Ho purchased some sheep" afc Chertsey on Tuesday, and wassoen later driving them home. ■On Wednesday evening Mr Sprott, Penc}arvis, found • him inan unconscious stoteon the road, lie having apparently been thrown fron liis gig, which was considerably dam« aged. Ho was admitted totheAshburton County Hospital, and isl still in an unconscious condition. _ The sheep have not been found, and it is presumed that} someone has turned them into a pool dock. t (muss association TELwauw.) William Robert Donald, aged nineteen, employed at a cheese factory at) Kaitangata, while motor-cycling to Jus ; ; home at Maitiand, near Gore, on 1"3 , annual leave, crashed into tho northbound express while crossing near Wai- \ palii yesterday afternoon. He was conveyed to Gore and died in the hospital at night. NEW PLYMOUTH, January 17. A wharf labourer named Albert Emanuel Scluvinghammer, aged twenty- | eight, dropped dead in a right-of-way ia town this morning. He had recently suffered from influenza, which is supposed to have affected his heart.
