NEW BRIGHTON GALA.

TO BE HELD TO-DAY,

The Xetr Brighton Gala, which v.- a.? postponed from last Saturday on account of tho unpropitious weather, will be held to-day. A very attractive programme has been arranged, and given a fine day the function should prove _ a big success. Children's sports, atpiatio events, living saving competitions', Highland dancing, and interesting athletic events are included in the programme, and there will, of course, l>e numerous side-shows, at which visitors will be able to spend their 6pare email change. The proceeds will he given for patriotic purposes. There will bo special attractions on the pier. A baby thow will be held at 2.30 p.m.; at 2.45 p.m. there ■will be a dance in the Pier Hall; at 3.30 p.m. there will bo a big concert, and at 7.30 p.m. a grand plain and fancy dress dance will be held, with speciai prizes for 1-ho best costumes.
