LYTTELTON AND CHRISTCHURCH SOUTH SEATS.
TO THE EDITOR OF "THE PBESS." Sir, —What is this I see in "The Press" about Mr McCombs agreeing to stand for CHristchurch South "if he receives a requisition"? It has been rumoured for some time that Mr McCombs and Mr H. G. Jsll intend "swopping'' seats, Mr McCombs contesting Christchurch South, and Mr Ell standing for Lyttelton. Of course, the electors in these two electorates will have something to say when the time oomes. In .the.meantime, it is up to these two gentlemen to take us into their confidence and make a public statement.— Yours, etc., VIATOR. January 16th.
