APPEAL FOR NAVAL DEPENDANTS.

An urgent appeal has been received from Home for the dependants of men lost in the North Sea—a plea which mugt make, a strong appeal to those in a maritime country like New Zealand, for the following reasons: — The Navy convoyed the whole of the New Zealand Forces to the seat oS war without loss of a.single life. The Navy convoyed all our produce diuring four years of war with the losi of only two ships, thus promoting the Dominion's prosperity, in -which, all shared. The Navy saved thfe Dominion from invasion. • The Navy saved the Motherland and: every association that we cherish. The Navy strangled Germany, thus winning the war and ensuring peace for generations to come. Then let us be thankful, and show our thankfulness in a practical way by giving liberally to the Navy League IJundl for the benefit of the fatherless children, widows, and other" dependants of the men who willingly gave, their lives to make these things possible. Do your part by sending your subscription. The Office of the Navy League Fund, 119 Worcester street, Christchurch. ,
