' A meeting, was held on Wednesday, in 'the Surf Club pavilion, North Beach, of members of the North Brighton Burgee sea' Association and the' Waimairi and West Brighton Burgesses' Association, • as, a result of previous resolutions deciding to amalgamate and form a hew body. Mr A, R. Blank was elected to the cuair. It was decided to call the new association the Nbrth Beach and'. Waimairi. Burgessee' Association. Officials were elected as follows:—President. Mr A. R. Blank: vioo-prce.'den.ts. Mefc&rs Poison, Freeman, Bissett, 6, CV Thompson, Good, and R. Stringer; secretary, Mr J. P. Whatman; treasurer, Mr E. E. Bathurst. It was decided to hold monthly meetings, and that the members' subscription be la.' The secretary waa instructed to write to the manager of the tramways, protesting against the tramway eervico as at present run on the North Beach lino; to point out the deplorable overcrowding of cars on holidays; to protest against the ono-compartment, do® - ed-in cars in use; and also to ask the Tramway Board to run the No. 6 car from the Square to New Brighton to Park road on every trip. - ' .
