DELAY IN TRAFFIC,

(press association telegram.) " WELLINGTON, January 15. Tho Eastern Extension Cable Company lias lost the use of three cables somewhere in the Bay of Biscay. Repairing ships are waiting, but rough weather prevents them working. These cables are old and' probably much worn, and it is thought likely that depth charges dropped on submarines may have assisted to shatter them.
