OBITUARY.

There passed awav at Wanganui last week one of the oldest settlers in that district in the person of Mr Thomas Scrivener, at the advanced age of 90 years. He arrived w*ith his parents in *\\ r anganni in 1&49. and had resided there ever since. The late Mr Scrivener took a great interest in church matters, and was for some time organist of the old Methodist Church in Ridgway street. Deceased is survived by three sons, Mr Edwin Scrivener (Wanganui), \r r Alfred Scrivener (Waikato). and 'Mr Henry Scrivener (Christclrarch).
