L '°?d George) has announced tho personnel or tho new Ministry, as follows:— Ttt Hon. J. I. Macpherson—Chief Secrotarv for Ireland. Mr Macpherson was Financial Secretary to the war Offico in the last Ministry r Rt Hon. E. Shortt— Secretary for Home Affairs. Mr Shortt was Chief Secretary far Ireland in the last MinRt. St Hon. W. H. Long—First Lord of tho Admiralty. He was formerly Secretary of State for tho Colonies. Lord Milner —Secretary of State lor the Colonies. Ho was Secretary or "War in tho Coalition Cabinet. Rt Hon. "Winston Churchill— Secretary of State for "War. _ Mr Churchill was Minister of Munitions from 1917 in the previous Ministry. Sir F. E. Smith —Lord Chancellor. He was Attorney-General in tho previous Ministry. . Rt. Hon. Austen Chamberlain, Chancellor of the Exchequer. Ho was for a time a member of the War Cabinet. Sir Auckland Geddes—Minister of Reconstruction. He w.-w Director of General National Servico in tho War Ministry. 3rigadicr-Genoral J. B. Soely—Minister of Air Servico. He -was Secretary of State for War until 1914, when ho wont to tho front. Rt. Hon. Dr. C. Addison—President of the Local Government Board. He was Parliamentary Secretary of Munitions up to 191G, and then Minister .in Charge of Reconstruction. Rt. Hon. Sir Gordon Hewart—Attor-ney-General. He had been SolicitorGeneral sinco 1916. Rt. Hon. A. Bonar Law—Keeper of the Privy Seal and Leader of the House of Commons. Ho was Chancellor of the Exchequer and Leader of the House of Commons in the Previous Ministry. Rt. Hon. A. J. Balfonr-j-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.' He held the same portfolio in the last Cabinet. Rt. Hon. L. C. Amery—Undor-Secr&-tarv for tho Colonies. Rt. Hon. Sir S. P. Sinha —Secretary of State for India. Fit. Hon. G. N. Barnes —Minister without portfolio. Ho was Pensions Minister since 1916, and a member of the War Cabinet since 1917. Sir Eric Geddes —Ministor without portfolio. Ho wn<i formerly First Lord of th 6 Admiralty. THE LIBERAL PARTY. (Australian and K.Z. Cable Association.) (Received January 13th. 1.30 a.m.) LONDON, January 10. Tho "Daily Express" states that tho Coalition Liberals are making a determined effort to place Mr Lloyd Georgo in the positjsn of Leader of the Liberal Party, and are seeking to capture ten Liberal Federations. Already the Eastern Counties Federation has been captured.
