A serious accident occurred last week on tlio Wangamoa Hill, to Mr lhoma s Henry Martin, who resides in Iselson. Together with a companion, Mr .Tames Ryan, he was driving through to the Canvastown races. "When ascending hill Martin suddenly threw up his hands, and it was discovered that he had been shot through the skull bye stjay bullet evidently fired by'someono out shooting on'"the Mils. Ryan immediately returned to town, and Martin' was taken to the Hospital in a serious condition. There was a compound fracture of tho Iskull, and an operation was performed.
