CASUALTIES.
INQUEST. An inquest was held before Mr S. E. McCarthy, Coroner, yesterday, touching the death of Albert Edward Marshall, a returned soldier, 23 years of age, -who met his death by falling over a cliff 150 feet high at Little Taylor's Mistake on Tuesday evening. Walter Turner, -who Tras "baching" with the deceased at Taylor's Mistake, said that about 1.40 p.m. on Tuesday lie saw deceased standfng on the edge of the cliff. Deceased gave a cry— a cry familiar to members of tho "bach" then turned round, and appearing to stagger, fell over the cliff. When picked up he was dead 3>eceased had oeen in tho best of spirits. A verdict -was returned that deceased met his death by accidentallv falling over the cliff.
