PURCHAS—HODGSON. At St. Paul's Church, Papanui, yesterday morning, tho marriage was quietly celebrated of the Rev. Canon H. T.Purchas, vicar of Glenmark, and Miss Adclo Hodgson, daughter of Mrs J. A. Hodgson, of James avenue, PiU>anui. The Rev. W. H. Orbell, vicnr of St. Paul's, and the Rev. Canon Hamilton, of Fendalton, were the officiating clergymen. After the ceremony a fow intimato friends relatives were entertained to morning tea, by Mrs Hodgson. Th© bride was formerly a teacher at Papanui school, -where she was hold' in high esteem by her pupiie. JOHNS —ALL AX, Tlic wedding took place at St. Raul's Presbyterian Church yesterday morning of Mr Leonard Jolms, isoii of Mrs Johns, of Papanui, to Miss Elisabeth Allan, youngest daughter of Mr andi Mrs John Allan, of flushes street. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Erwih. Mr Allan gavo away his daughter, who wore .1 smartly-cut costume of cream serge, with ft black huirstripe, over a blouse of cream ne<!i und. lace. Jlor cream hat was trimmed with tulle, and sho carried a bouquet of white flowers tied with satin streamers. The attendant bridesmaid was Miss "MoGillivray. who w«b frocked in pale pink tulle and crepo de chine and a Tuscan hat trimmed" with black velvet, her bouquet being of pink flowers. Mr James Allan actcd as boat man. After the ceremony a wedding tea wn» given, at Broadway's by the orido's parents.
