Dispatches from Archangel say that the Americans drove back the Bolshevists near Kadish, after desperate fighting. American officers report that the Bolshevists mutilated American soldiers. AMERICANS TO BE WITHDRAWN. (Received January 7th, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, January G. The "Philadelphia Ledger" reports that the United States has decided not to interfere further in Russia. The return of the American troops alroady in the Archangel district* is forecasted. NEW YORK. Jamiarv 6. The Paris correspondent of tieJ'o 01 ' York Sun" states that the United States will not send American troops to Russia for any purpose. If Russia needs policing the Allies must undertake it. The Americans will be sent home witn the greatest speed, all probably leaving Europe by next October. SIBERIAN ARMY'S SUCCESS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received January 7th. 9.35 p.m.) ' LONDON, January 6. The Siberian army is developing its recent victory in the Perm district, and is advancing along tho Petrograd railway. It has captured 30,000 men and an enormous quantity of booty. (Renter's Telegrams.) STOCKHOLM, January 6. An Omsk correspondent states that the Bolshevists were routed at Kama River, losing 35,000 prisoners and a great quantity of booty. FATE OF GENERALS. ■> (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Beater's Telegrami.) STOCKHOLM, January 6. General Brusiloff is reported to have been, killed at Moscow, and General Kuropatkin murdered. BRITISH AT RIGA. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received January Bth, 1.20 a.m.) COPENHAGEN, January 6. An official message from Berlin states that British artillery interfered in the fighting between the Germans and Bolshevists at Riga, resulting in the surrender of two Lithuanian detachments.
