POLISH TROOPS ADVANCING FROM POSEN.
(By Cable.—Press Association.— Copyright.) (Australian and Cable Association.) LONDON, January 'J. Polish troops are reported to be, advancing fromi Posen, and to have entered Frankfort-on-Oder. NEW YORK, January 2. The Rotterdam correspondent of the "New York Times" learns on excellent authority that the new German Government will organise a volunteer army of veterans, who will he sent to the Eastern front to fight the Poles. Herr Noske, the now Minister of the Army and Navy, in a statement, said that'the Government will not allow the Poles to invade German territory. SPARTACUS PARTY CONGRESS. LONDON, January 1. A hundred delegates, representing the whole of Germany, attended the Spartacus Congress in Berlin, and passed a resolution antagonistic to the Independent Socialists. They also approved the formation of a new party, to be called the Communistic - Labour' Party, or the Spartacus Bund. The dramatic appearance of Radek, who arrived secretly, caused a sensation in the Congress. A cable mesage, dated Copenhagen, December 23rd, stated that Radok had established a special revolutionary school in Moscow, where a rotators from all co'intries. including Chinamen and Irishmen, were being trained in revolutionary ideas. Afterwards they would return to their respective countries as missioners of revolution. A BAVARIAN PLOT. SEVENTEEN CITIZENS ARRE:*"T^. (Australian and N.Z. CaMs Association.) (Received January 4th, 1.25 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, December 31. Seventeen leading citizens of Munich were arrestod on Sunday night, when the police raided a big hotel where the Duke of Bavaria was presiding over a secret gathering of plotters against the Eisner regime. The Duke and those arrested declared that their intention was to form a town militia, but when the hotel was raided the plotters made .desperate efforts to destroy compromising documents and drawings.
