The repatriation of New Zealanders is proceeding steadily, although, like other forces, the actual demobilisation does not begin until the peace treaty is ratified. Five thousand seven 'hundred lower category men doparted for New Zealand during December aboard the Maunganui, Marama, Tahiti, Briton, and Oxfordshire. Passages for soldiers' wives have been reduced to £7. Two hundred will leave aboard the Ruapehu next week, together with three hundred | soldiers.
