SOLDIERS SENTENCED.
72,592 Pte. D. Smith, Details (late A. Coy., Forty-third Reinforcement), found guilty by, district court-martial, held at Trcnth&m Camp, of: —(1) When under orders for ective service, deserting his Majesty's service; (2) losing by neglect his equipment, clothing, and regimental necessaries; was sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for one year. 79,438 Pte. E. Atkinson, Details (late B Coy., Forty-second Reinforcement), found guilty of similar oh&rges to tho above, was also sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for one year, and 81,446 Pte. J. Minnhin, Details Gate G Coy., Forty-first Reinforcement), was sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for nine months. 92,896 Pte. A. Blanchard, Details, found guilty of disobeying in such a manner as to ehow a wilful defiance of authority, a lawful command given personally _by lias'' superior officer in the execution of his office, was sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for two yeare.
