Curiense. which left Sydnev on the 19th April, and returned to port two days later, and irohs-quentlv _ resumed her vovage ajrsin on tho 12th Slay for Papeete (Tahiti), has not reached her destination (reports "Sydney Shipping Lis* of July IOtW. The La Curiense should have made the trip in 13 or 20 days. No tidinss of the vessel, however, have com© ,to h«n*l since she kit Sydney, ami consequently rt is feared that she has Wn 'ost. Before th? war the La Curio-use was fitted out by voluntary subscriptions by me Geographical o_icietv of Paris for a scientific expedition m the' Pacific.
