IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.

(Received July 19th, 1.30 a.m.) LUAUO.N, Juiy 17. .The Imporial Conference discussed Mr Huguea's resmuLjon urging the creation of a new Imperial Court of Appeal, replacing tno i'rivy Council. In a lengthy argument, Mr Hughes outlined the project, which included j the appointment of a Dominions' representative. Tho Conference, including the Lord Chancellor, generally concurred in the logic for a change. The New Zealand delegates, on the whole, heartily eupportod Mr Hughes. Strong opposition developed on the grounds of practicability, tho Lord Chancellor and others urging that the drastic change would require an upheaval in methods of procedure, which was undesirable. The discussion was adjourned. PROPOSED GALLIPOLI MEDAL. (Received July 18th, 11.50 p.m.) LONDON, July 17. In the House of Commons, Mr Hewins stated that the Imperial Conference was considering the issue of a medal in connexion with the Gallipoli operations.
